Live music starts at the City Hall parking lot on Green Street at 2:30 p.m. The GOATS Cycling Club will be offering food and beverages. The parade kicks off at 6 p.m., and the fireworks light up the night sky at dusk.

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Galena plans the parade, this year set to start on Galena’s Main Street at 6 p.m. But before the parade, check out the live music and party at the Green Street Plaza. Food and beverages are provided by the G.O.A.T.S. Cycling club.
Fireworks are set to begin downtown at dusk.

GALENA–The Kiwanis Club of Galena is planning the annual Independence Day parade for Saturday, July 4. There’s no entry free for participants, but the club does need entrants to register ahead of time.
Please download and fill out the 2015_ParadeEntry form, and either mail it to PO Box 319, Galena, IL 61036. You can also fax it to 815-777-3809, or email it to email@example.com.
Parade line up is 5 p.m. The parade kicks off at 6 p.m.

The Kiwanis Club of Galena’s 20th annual Independence Day parade begins at 6 p.m.–and you can be a part of it! All you need to do is register your entry!
Please download and return the parade form to the physical address or email address on the form.
Parade entries will line up on Water Street at 5:30 p.m., east of the Green Street Plaza. Upon your arrival you will be given a parade position and will be assisted by a Kiwanis member.
Enjoy the old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration in Galena on Friday, July 4. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Galena, the day features a parade at 6 p.m., followed by food and music and fireworks at dusk.
GALENA–The Kiwanis Club of Galena is sponsoring two scholarships for graduating seniors from Galena High School (GHS) this year.
One $1,000 scholarship is earmarked for someone attending a two-year program or vocational school, and the other $,1000 scholarship, the Tom Sprague Memorial Scholarship, will be for someone attending a four-year program. Sprague was an active Kiwanian in the Galena club who was instrumental in starting the Galena Kiwanis scholarship program before his death in early 2012.
The scholarship applications are available at the high school guidance counselor’s office or by clicking this link: kiwanis-scholarship-application-2014. Scholarship applications are due in at the GHS guidance counselor’s office by Friday, April 25.
