Walter Baronas, Jr. Obituary

Walter J. Baronas, Jr., of Winona, TX, formerly of Dorchester, MA, passed peacefully on March 24, 2024, surrounded by family. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving on the USS Miller (DD-535). Walter was a long-term over the road truck driver and retired from the Gladewater ISD, in Gladewater, TX. He is survived by his children: Gene Spiller (D’Ann), TX; Marguerite Dembro (Ritchie), NH; Maureen Corbett, ME; CaroleAnne Baronas, FL; LaDonna Narons (Rusty), TX; Sonny Baronas (Julie), NH; Anne Marie Brewer (Paul), NH; Rhonda Hensley, TX; Dorothea Nichols (Danny), TX; RJ Baronas (Nikki), OR; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his two sisters, Linda Andrus, NY, and Susan Overton, MA, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter & Nellie Baronas, his sister Regina, his son David, grandson, Joseph, and his life partner, Barbara McAdams, The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to John and Danetia of the Enhabit Hospice Team. A memorial with military honors will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024.
