John E. McNally, Sr. Obituary

John E. McNally Sr. (PaPa John) passed quietly at home on Sunday, March 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Louise ‘Wheezie’ (Dubois) McNally of Carver, formerly from Roxbury. Father of John McNally, Jr. of Dorchester, Patrick McNally of Plymouth, and the late Kathleen McNally Coleman and Irene ‘Renee’ McNally Cote. He also leaves his step children Melissa Munroe Austin and her husband James of Rochester, and Mollie Munroe Naughton and her husband Michael of Milton. Brother of Mary (Patsy) Hart of Dedham, and the late Robert McNally, Joan E. McNally, Judith Powers, Joseph McNally, and Paula McNally. He was the husband of the late Irene (Leach) McNally. Son of the late Robert L. and Mary E. (Downey) McNally. Beloved grandfather of Krystale (Cote) Ottino, Amanda Munroe, Samuel & Benjamin Austin, Connor Luke and Jack Naughton. He also leaves behind Danielle McNally of Hartford, CT, Christopher Gonsalves of Brockton, the late Anthony Gonsalves, and their children. Mr. McNally leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is the super proud ‘great grandfather’ to Quinn Joseph Ottino. Visitation with the McNally family will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 9:00AM ‘ 12:00PM in the CARTMELL-DAVIS LIFE CELEBRATION FUNERAL HOME, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet). Services will be held at 12:00PM. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
