A city firefighter was transported to the hospital after responding to a fire at a Chinatown restaurant Saturday night, according to officials.

The blaze was reportedly sparked at 15 Hudson St. — the address of Great Barbecue — and then spread.

“The fire started around midnight in restaurant on the 1st floor and traveled to the roof in the rear of the building,” Boston Fire posted. “Major overhauling of the multiple layers of the roof.”

One firefighter was hospitalized, and nine residents were displaced after the fire.

“Detail companies are remaining on scene to monitor any hot spots,” Boston Fire posted. “1 Firefighter suffered minor injuries transported by ⁦@BOSTON_EMS. 6 adults and 3 children were displaced ⁦@RedCrossMA to help with housing.”

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
